China Scholarship Document Checklist

Organize scholarship forms, academic records, identity files and supporting documents without mixing requirements between application routes.

There is no single document list for every scholarship. Build your checklist from the current notice for the exact route, university, degree and intake.

Common document categories to check

An official notice may request some of the following:

  • Scholarship application form
  • Passport or other identity document
  • Highest diploma or expected-graduation evidence
  • Academic transcripts
  • Language-proficiency evidence
  • Study plan or research proposal
  • Recommendation letters
  • University admission or pre-admission document
  • Health examination or other declarations
  • Portfolio, research work or program-specific material

This is a planning list, not a statement that every item is required.

Record the specification, not just the document name

For every required item, note:

  • Issuing organization
  • Accepted language
  • Translation requirement
  • Certification or authentication requirement
  • File format and size
  • Signature, stamp or date rules
  • Whether an original may be requested later

Keep identity and academic details consistent

Use the same name order and spelling across portals and documents wherever the forms allow. Check dates, degree titles, institution names and expected-graduation information. Explain legitimate differences according to the official process rather than editing an issued document.

Manage recommendations responsibly

Choose recommenders who can address the requested academic or professional criteria. Give them the official prompt and enough time. Do not write a confidential recommendation and present it as the recommender's independent work.

Final file audit

Open every uploaded file after saving it. Check orientation, readability, page order and completeness. Use descriptive filenames, retain the submitted version and save the confirmation record for each portal.
