HIT International Students Scholarship
The HIT International Students Scholarship supports international bachelor's, master's and doctoral students through tuition waivers. The published structure lists four award levels:
| Award level | Tuition support |
|---|---|
| Elite | 100% tuition waiver |
| First | 50% tuition waiver |
| Second | 30% tuition waiver |
| Third | 20% tuition waiver |
The listed study periods are four to five years for bachelor's programs, two to three years for master's programs and four years for doctoral programs. Scholarship recipients undergo annual review; an unsuccessful review can end the award from the following academic year.
Published eligibility framework
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, meet HIT's health and conduct requirements, and may not hold multiple scholarships. The published age limits are under 25 for bachelor's applicants, under 30 for master's applicants and under 35 for doctoral applicants.
Chinese-taught programs list HSK 4 with at least 210. English-taught programs list IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 78 or an accepted equivalent in the document sections. The page also states TOEFL 80 in its general eligibility section, so applicants should follow the threshold in the current admission notice for their selected program.
The application file varies by study level. Common items include the application form, passport page, degree or expected-graduation evidence, transcripts, language evidence, physical examination, recent non-criminal record and proof of the application fee. Graduate applicants also provide a study plan of more than 1,000 words and two academic recommendation letters.
Youth of Excellence Scheme of China
HIT's published Youth of Excellence route is an English-taught Master's Program in Business Administration. It uses a two-year 1+1 model: students study and prepare the thesis at HIT during the first year, then complete thesis work in their home country and return to China for the defence.
The route is described as a full scholarship, with the living allowance provided for one year. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens under 45, hold at least a bachelor's degree and have at least three years of work experience. Eligible profiles include public officials, senior managers, university or research administrators, and candidates with relevant international-organization experience.
Applicants first request a HIT pre-admission letter, then apply in the CSC system under Type A using agency number 1563. The reviewed page does not state a 2027 application deadline.
China Link Scholarship
China Link supports short-term study or research in China for one to twelve months. General scholars are enrolled undergraduate or master's students under 45. Senior scholars are enrolled doctoral students or full-time academic staff under 50. Applicants must be registered or employed at a CSC overseas partner university throughout the proposed stay.
The published scholarship includes tuition, on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance and a monthly stipend of CNY 3,000 for general scholars or CNY 3,500 for senior scholars. Applicants obtain a HIT pre-admission or invitation document and apply in the CSC system using HIT agency number 10213.
The reviewed China Link notice uses arrival and nomination dates tied to an earlier cycle. Those dates should not be used for a 2027 application.
Prepare for the 2027 Cycle
- Choose the study level and degree program before comparing scholarship routes.
- Check HIT's scholarship and international admission pages for a notice carrying the intended 2027 entry year.
- Use the current notice to resolve the applicable language threshold, age rule, application fee and submission channel.
- For Youth of Excellence or China Link, obtain the required pre-admission or invitation document before the CSC application.
- Prepare degree records, transcripts, language evidence, recommendations, physical examination and non-criminal record without relying on an expired deadline.
- Treat the scholarship type and the annual application notice as separate: the continuing existence of a route does not establish that its 2027 application is open.
Please note before application
HIT had not published a complete 2027 scholarship schedule on the reviewed English scholarship pages as of November 4, 2026. The funding structures and eligibility framework above come from university pages carrying earlier-cycle information. Do not reuse their dates for 2027; wait for the applicable HIT admission or scholarship notice.
